We have an exciting after-school program running on Wednesdays from 5:30pm-6:30pm from October 21-December 16, and from January 6-March 24. Youth ages 6+ are welcome to register and take part in a dynamic learning experience including lessons and game-time. We have experienced curlers and coaches who bring their knowledge to the ice and offer weekly lessons including delivery and sweeping technique, on-ice etiquette and in-game strategy.
For our experienced young curlers – typically between 12-18 years, are involved in the Junior Club following the same principals outlined above and start off by working through the Skills Award development program. This practice is followed by a short game, where the young curlers can put their learned-skills to use.
For our new young curlers and those aged 6-11, they take part in the Little Rocks program and move into the Skills Awards program which was developed with young curlers and beginners in mind. It was developed in Ontario and is offered across the country.
